HEROINE

This British biannual magazine offers a mix of fashion, art, film, current affairs and music. It has a lot of full page photography in a kind of anti-fashion, punky style, which I quite like. The clothes are from brands ranging from high fashion like Helmut Lang and Prada to sportswear like Dickies and Adidas. The photography dominates but there are a few text pages here and there. This FW edition had articles on DKNY, on a couple of young fashion designers and musicians: ‘bedroom producers’. I didn’t find a lot of print design inspiration. But I think the photo styling is appealing and the vibe is edgy. Price: €10.
