EYES ON GRAPHIC DESIGN

Fashion magazines are often about the photography, and a lot about beauty (don’t you always feel uglier after consuming so much glamour?), but usually do not give information about the cut of the clothes, the design process or the fabric and the prints. A page or two, that’s it. And there isn’t really a magazine dedicated to pattern design that I know of. Please comment below if you have a suggestion.

The Alternative: Graphic Design

So I often turn to graphic design books or magazines for pattern and print inspiration. Like this one, ‘eye‘ magazine. Full of eye candy for a lover of crazy typefaces. Some cool retro design and surprising illustrations. Quarterly. Not cheap but consider it sustainable: you will come back to an older issue for inspiration. Check out their insta: @eyemagazine .
